HEALTH AND FATIGUE!

My reason for leaving politics is "Health and Fatigue." The voters got sick and tired of me. It's time that a lot of other politicians leave for the same reason. For pure audacity recent Senate hearing on Enron
takes the cake. These Senators who wallowed in campaign contributions from that company have the effrontery to criticize Enron officials for robbing the poor employees of Enron of their life savings by taking money out of the corporation which finally went belly up. Just what do they think they were doing when they collectively took millions of the same moneys for their own selfish purposes? Can their raiding of the Enron cash tree be any different from the raiding of the corporate officers for their selfish purposes?

Senator Fritz Hollings, who accepted large contributions from Enron piously criticizes those officials who were guilty of the same. According to Fred Barnes the committees investigating Enron have a majority of their members who raided Enron coffers and thus robbed the investors and employees of that company. The Republican members make the pious claim that Enron got nothing from Republican office holders for the contributions which they accepted. We need to be clear right here. No political
contribution is given for good government. They are given to assure that they receive favorable treatment from the politicians spending tax money. Pure and Simple. In the case of Republicans, if indeed, they did
not help Enron, they are guilty of fraud. They took contributions and did not return the expected services.

The Democrats did produce results for Enron. The shady practices that Enron was interested in were in violation of the Investment Company Act of 1940. They went to the Republican Controlled House and asked for an amendment to change that act to make them be in compliance. They were refused. Enron then went to the Clinton White House and got Administrative relief. Many other instances of favorable treatment from the Clinton Administration are on record. Also, on record are large contributions to the Clinton reelection committee following these favors. Clinton's secretary of the Treasure left the Clinton White House and took a $40,000,000.00 per year consulting fees from the financing bank of Enron. He
tried to use his influence as a past official to get the Bush Administration to spend tax money to prop up Enron. He was not successful.

If the demise of Enron can be attributed to the spending of company funds for selfish designs, Congress is just as guilty as the officers of that company. SENATOR BYRD IS A BIGOTED COWARD. I have often been chagrined and embarrassed to see members of Congress browbeat witnesses in Congressional hearings. Many of these members were just as worthless back home as they are in Washington. They have no merited right to abuse those who cannot strike back. Senator Byrd from West Virginia is a bigoted bully. In a Senate hearing he unmercifully lectured the Bush Secretary of the Treasurer. Now let us identify Senator Byrd, he is a former member of the Klu Klux Klan who went on national television last March
and used the term, "White Nigger" two different times. He has never in his life contributed to the tax base of the country. He is know as the King of Pork. In this sense he gained this title by taking tax funds and
buying his continued occupation of the office of Senator from West Virginia. Forty years of Pork and he is nothing more than the Democrats David Duke.

Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neal, a self made man was not to be bullied. He struck back. He didn't say as much as he should. He should have reminded those filming about Senator Byrd running around in white sheets burning crosses. He should have asked him what he meant when he referred to "White Niggers" on National television last March. He should have reminded him of the time he said that he would not serve in the Army along side "race Mongrels." : His term for Blacks. ( See; Byrds of a Feather: The Dems David Duke.)

Senator Byrd controls his committee. It was a political mistake for Secretary O'Neal to confront him. That be as it may, I took a great deal of pleasure from this response to the Doddering Old Fool who is
nothing other than a Bigoted Bully, using the people's office to demean another person who he considers defenseless. It would be nice if our Senators and Representatives should conduct themselves as Ladies and Gentlemen.
