CLUNY'S CORNER A DOG GONE LOOK AT THE WORLD
THE 'DOGGY DREAM HOUSE' GIVEAWAY

One day in early January, I was checking my e-mail to read all the fan mail I receive from my loyal readers, and I was surprised to find an e-mail from Miss Leashemup, my master's girlfriend. I was even more surprised to see she wanted me to register for a "Dream House Give Away" being given away by the Home and Gardens TV network. Miss Leashemup had sent a link so I clicked over and saw why she had sent me the "heads up" on the site; the give away included a Doggy Dream Home worth $1,500! I said to my self, "This sure beats that cheap plastic trash my master got me when he brought me home from the Happy Yappy Puppy Farm when I was young." Man, I sure like Miss Leashemup.

As I clicked around the site I discovered more about the Doggy Dream House. It was designed by the same architect that designed the HGTV Dream Home, Barry Coyle, of Chapman, Coyle, Chapman of Marietta, Ga. The doghouse is spacious and was inspired by the design of Dream Home's cupola (whatever that is). It includes architectural brackets and a metal roof that is hinged for easy access by the owner. This hinging is very important because it makes it easy for a doggy's master to get to the doggy food dish every day to fill it up. This doggy house is actually painted. Its interior is color-coordinated with the Dream Home master bedroom so when my master wins the house he'll feel right at home when he's "in the Dog House" with Miss Leashemup. According to the HGTV web site, it is a "Doggy Dream Home worth barking about!" In my opinion, the only thing missing is a dogs playing cards wall tapestry.

Another important feature is that one Doggy Dream House is given away each week till the first of March when the Dream House is given away on national TV, so I have plenty of chances to win. When I win I plan to have a big party and invite all my friends like Cousin Jack, Miss Daisy my girlfriend, my Hawaiian friend Poo Poo Lot'a Poi, and Fatwah el-Jihad, the saluki next door. Maybe Fatwah will bring his four wives. I think I'll have this big shindig catered by the people who did the food for the HGTV show, Creative Catering and Design. I really like their meatballs, chicken wings, and chicken ka-bobs on a stick. It'll be a gas; I may even invite my master and Miss Leashemup.

Finally, I encourage all you doggies out there who read my column to encourage your masters to sign up for this amazing "Doggy Dream Home" at HGTV. Here is the link or address to sign up http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/sweepstakes/ . To stay posted, be sure to read the Clarion Issue's next issue to see me in front of my new "Doggy Dream House" eatin' a plateful of Creative Catering and Design's wings and meatballs with all my friends.
