The
late Dr. Joseph S. Murphy served as Chancellor of the City
University from September 1982 to September 1990, and as President of Queens College, from February 1, 1971 to December 31, 1976, and continued to serve, until the time of his tragic death on January 17, 1998 in an automobile accident in Ethiopia, as a seminar leader in the Workers' Center of the City University. |
